Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Roaming Ceylon, we understand that travel plans can change. Our refund and cancellation policy is designed to be fair and transparent while allowing us to continue offering exceptional experiences and support to all travelers.
Accommodation Bookings
Standard Cancellation Terms:
- Free cancellation up to 14 days before check-in.
- 50% refund for cancellations made 7–13 days before check-in.
- No refund for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.
If your booking includes a non-refundable rate, it cannot be cancelled for a refund regardless of the notice period.
Please note: A small handling and administrative fee may apply to all cancellations or changes.
Tour Packages
Standard Cancellation Terms:
- Free cancellation up to 30 days before the tour start date.
- 50% refund for cancellations made 15–29 days prior.
- No refund if cancelled within 14 days of the tour start date.
Some specialty or third-party tours may have their own cancellation terms. These will be clearly stated at the time of booking.
Please note: A small handling and administrative fee may apply to all cancellations or modifications.
Force Majeure / Exceptional Circumstances
If your trip is affected by a natural disaster, civil unrest, pandemic-related travel bans, or other unforeseeable events, we will do our best to offer:
- A reschedule, credit note, or partial refund depending on the situation and the policies of our local partners.
Modifications & Changes
We’re happy to help you adjust your travel plans where possible. Please note:
- Changes requested more than 14 days in advance may be made free of charge, subject to availability.
- Modifications requested less than 14 days before your trip may incur additional fees.
All modifications may be subject to a handling fee, depending on the complexity of the change.
Refund Process
If you are eligible for a refund:
- Refunds will be processed via the original payment method.
- Please allow 7–14 business days for processing.
- Bank fees or currency conversion costs (if any) are non-refundable.
- Administrative or transaction fees are non-refundable unless waived by us in writing.

Additional Notes
- All cancellation/refund policies are based on Sri Lanka Time (GMT+5:30).
- We recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes trip cancellation and medical cover.
