Kuttam Pokuna
About Kuttam Pokuna
Kuttam Pokuna, also known as the Twin Ponds, is one of the finest examples of ancient hydraulic engineering in Anuradhapura. Built during the Anuradhapura period, these beautifully carved stone bathing pools were used by monks of the nearby Abhayagiri Monastery and showcase the advanced water management systems of ancient Sri Lankan civilization.
